Lot 506: An Assortment of Vintage Ceramic Saucers with Floral and Scenic Transfer-Printed Decoration
An assortment of vintage ceramic saucers featuring a variety of transfer-printed designs on white and cream grounds. The collection includes a saucer with a brown monochrome scene depicting a coach and horses arriving at a rural building, with a sign readable as The Red Lion. Another saucer displays the Indian Tree pattern, characterised by a polychrome floral branch within a geometric and floral border. Further examples include a botanical-style print of pink dog roses, a spray of pink lilies with blue forget-me-nots, and a minimalist design with blue floral sprigs and a small landscape vignette. Several saucers feature gilt-edged rims. All pieces are currently mounted in metal wire wall hangers. A handwritten note placed with the items is inscribed V: 932.
