Lot 510: A Collection of Six Glazed Porcelain Figurines and Groups
A collection of six glazed porcelain figurines and figural groups featuring subjects in 18th-century style attire and pastoral themes. The lot includes a large figural group depicting a woman in a dark blue bodice and a white skirt with polychrome floral decoration and gilt highlights, standing next to a child with a flower basket and a lamb. Another figurine depicts a woman in an 18th-century style dress decorated with a blue and white floral pattern. A third polychrome group features a woman holding a child, both dressed in floral-patterned clothing with blue and gold-trimmed accents. A seated boy figurine is shown playing an accordion in polychrome colours. Two smaller figurines are finished in a plain white glaze, one depicting a seated child with a stringed instrument and the other a child in a long gown. No maker marks, signatures, or decorator marks are visible on the exterior surfaces of the pieces as photographed; the bases were not inspected.
