Lot 517: A Collection of Italian Hand-painted Earthenware Plates including a Signed Example by Pucci B
An assortment of hand-painted earthenware plates featuring various floral and faunal motifs. One plate is decorated with a central bouquet featuring a red rose and yellow blossom, surrounded by a green lattice border with scroll accents. A second plate features a reticulated rim with pierced geometric openings and a hand-painted floral spray to the centre. A stack of two Italian plates includes a top plate with concentric geometric and foliate bands in yellow and blue, and a larger base plate bearing a blue-painted rim and a hand-written blue inscription reading scampi alla MUGGIA ~ (TS). A further shallow dish is hand-painted with a bird perched on a flowering branch and bears a hand-painted signature in the lower right reading Pucci B.
