Lot 535: Two marigold iridescent carnival glass bowls with ruffled rims
Two early 20th-century pressed carnival glass bowls, executed in translucent glass with an iridescent marigold surface wash displaying rainbow highlights. The larger bowl is mould-pressed with a central radiating flower head framed by a raised ring and trailing leaf and vine motifs, finished with a six-point crimped and ruffled rim over a raised circular collar foot. The second bowl features an embossed central floral and foliate roundel within a segmented rectangular border and a deeply crimped, ruffled rim. Both pieces are mould-pressed with smooth mould-formed collar bases and have no pontil marks. No maker name, stamp, or signature is visible or present on either piece.
