Lot 611: A Pair of Alexander Collection Porcelain Sheep and Lamb Figurines
A pair of white porcelain figurines, each depicting a standing sheep accompanied by a smaller lamb. The animals are modelled with a textured, wool-like surface and finished with a satin glaze, featuring painted details to the eyes and muzzles. Both groups are positioned upon textured green bases embellished with small yellow and blue flowers. The underside of each base features a black printed mark consisting of the word ALEXANDER in an arched format above a central logo depicting a thistle head within a stylised foliate wreath. Below the logo are the printed words FINE PORCELAIN, followed by the date 1989 and the word Collection. The bases include circular venting holes from the manufacturing process.
