Lot 641: A Collection of Decorative Glazed Porcelain and Bisque Figurines
A collection of decorative glazed porcelain and bisque figurines, including a commemorative plaque. The group features a tall, slender figure of a woman in a pale blue and white gown holding an open fan. Also present is a polychrome glazed character study of an elderly shepherd in a long tan coat, carrying a white lamb across his shoulders and holding a staff with a suspended lantern, accompanied by a sheepdog at his feet. The lot further contains a small painted ceramic figure of a seated girl in traditional dress with a wicker basket and a stylised white glazed porcelain goose with a raised head. The collection is completed by a circular biscuit porcelain plaque depicting the physician Galen in profile, inscribed in raised lettering GALEN 129-199 within a foliate border. No maker’s names, marks, or country of origin stamps are clearly legible in the provided images.
