Lot 644: A Trio of Early 20th Century Cloth-Bound Bibles
A trio of early 20th-century cloth-bound Bibles, comprising three devotional volumes of varying sizes and states of preservation. The largest volume is bound in a black textured material featuring a simple gilt-line cross to the front board. The two smaller volumes are bound in textured cloth, one in black and one in brown, both of which are blind-stamped with the title HOLY BIBLE in a serif typeface within a double-line rectangular border. The black-bound Bible features red-washed page edges. These volumes are characteristic of standard commercial religious publications produced for personal use during the early to mid-20th century.
