Lot 688: A Pair of Porcelain Covered Serving Dishes with Blue Bell Flower Decoration
A pair of circular white glazed porcelain covered serving dishes. Each vessel features two integrated side handles and a domed lid finished with a pointed finial. The pieces are decorated with transfer-printed floral sprays featuring blue bell-shaped flowers on trailing green and yellow stems. The handles, finials, and the rims of both the lids and bases are finished with gold gilding. The underside of the base is plain white glaze and bears no maker’s marks, pattern names, or other identifying characters (photo 4).
