Lot 72: A Vintage Collection of Steel and Copper Fasteners in Wooden Trays
A vintage collection of steel and copper fasteners in wooden trays, organised within three separate storage containers. The collection includes a wide variety of nails, pins, and workshop hardware of differing gauges and materials. One wooden sorting tray features fifteen individual compartments housing a sorted selection of small nails, including copper nails, blued steel nails, and galvanised clout varieties. A second wooden tray is divided into six larger sections and contains various steel nails, several of which are retained in their original small cardboard inner boxes. The third container is a deep wooden storage crate fitted with a galvanised metal bridge handle, which contains heavier-duty hardware such as long common nails and two large steel cotter pins. The hardware exhibits various finishes and degrees of surface oxidation consistent with workshop storage. One tray bears an impressed star-shaped mark on the outer edge.
