Lot 803: A Four-Drawer Chest with Distressed Blue Painted Frame
A four-drawer chest with a distressed blue painted frame and natural wood drawer fronts. This piece is of solid hardwood construction, featuring a vertically-stacked arrangement of four drawers set within a robust frame. The exterior panels and frame are finished in a distressed blue paint wash that allows the underlying wood grain to remain visible. Each drawer front is left in a natural, light-toned finish and is fitted with a distinctive full-width cylindrical wooden pull handle, secured at each end by silver-tone metal brackets. The chest exhibits intentional wear and thinning of the paint along the edges and corners to enhance its rustic appearance. No maker’s marks or stamps are present on the exterior of the item.
