Lot 875: A painted wooden tripod stool incised H.Looe
A rustic wooden stool of tripod construction, featuring a circular seat supported by three cylindrical legs. The stool is finished in light blue paint which has been distressed to reveal a white undercoat in irregular, cloud-like patches across the seat. The seat top is incised with a cursive inscription that reads H.Looe, possibly indicating an association with the town of Looe in Cornwall. The stool is of vernacular construction.
