Lot 927: An early 20th century Jacobean Revival oak sideboard
This Jacobean Revival sideboard is constructed from oak and dates to the early 20th century. The configuration comprises a rectangular top over two short drawers and two full-width long drawers. The drawer fronts are finished in quarter-sawn oak, highlighting prominent medullary ray grain patterns. Between the upper and lower drawer sections is a fixed decorative panel featuring a carved lozenge motif flanked by vertical fluted sections. The unit is supported by front barley-twist legs joined by rectangular-section stretchers. The drawers are fitted with cast brass pear-drop handles on shaped decorative backplates. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the exterior of the piece.
