A large panoramic landscape painting executed in oil on a rigid support. The composition depicts a rural vista featuring a line of mature, leafy trees, a wooden post and rail fence in the foreground, and hazy woodland in the distance under a pale, overcast sky. The work is rendered in a traditional representational style with textured brushwork, particularly evident in the foliage and long grasses. The painting is signed HARLEY in dark capital letters in the lower right corner.
