A George III mahogany two-door glazed bookcase, constructed from figured mahogany in the George III fashion. The piece features a pair of full-length doors, each fitted with thirteen-pane astragal glazing in a diamond lattice pattern. The interior is fitted with wooden shelves. The cabinet is a one-piece floor-standing unit, supported by bracket feet. The hardware consists of two simple metal-lined keyholes positioned on the vertical meeting stiles of the doors, with no external handles present. No maker’s marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the exterior or through the glazing of the piece.
