A mixed media work on paper or board, likely incorporating watercolour and gouache, depicting a tranquil river scene with traditional sailing craft. The composition features a gaff-rigged sailing boat, possibly a pleasure yacht or wherry, moored alongside a wooden bridge and a waterside building. The style is representational with a naive quality, utilizing simplified forms and visible brushwork in the foliage and sky. The work is signed in the upper right on the wooden bridge structure with the initials e.e.a. (or possibly e.e.h.) in lowercase script separated by periods. The piece is housed in a contemporary mahogany-stained wooden frame with a gilded inner slip and is protected by glass.
