A long-reach fruit picker designed for harvesting fruit from high branches. The tool features a main pole constructed from tubular aluminum, fitted with a mechanical picking head at the distal end. The head is made of steel and incorporates a hooked grasping mechanism operated via a remote pull-wire system. This wire connects the head to a red molded plastic handle situated at the base of the pole. The construction utilizes lightweight contemporary materials typical of late 20th-century garden maintenance equipment. No manufacturer names, model numbers, or marks are visible on the aluminum, steel, or plastic components.

Condition report:

The mechanical steel head shows significant surface oxidation and pitting throughout (photo 1). The aluminum pole exhibits scattered light scratches and general surface wear consistent with outdoor use (photo 2). The red plastic handle remains intact. The internal pull-wire is present, though the smoothness of the spring-loaded mechanism is untested and may be affected by the corrosion on the head components.
