The top surface of the second can is embossed with the warning Petrol Highly Inflammable. The brass caps are each marked with 2 GL, indicating a two-gallon capacity, with one cap featuring additional embossed lettering associated with the Pratts brand. The cans are finished in a combination of heavy surface oxidation and remnants of red paint.
Redline-Glico Can Height: 30 cm
Pratts Can Height: 28 cm.
Condition report:
Both cans exhibit heavy surface oxidation and significant rust throughout the bodies and handles (photo 1). The Redline-Glico can shows deep pitting and scale across the embossed logo and side panels (photo 3). The red-painted can displays extensive paint loss, with the remaining finish being chipped and peeling (photo 2). Both brass caps show heavy tarnish and verdigris (photo 2). The handles remain structurally intact but show surface rust at the attachment points (photo 2).
