A collection of earthenware tea and dinner wares featuring a two-tone aesthetic, produced by Johnson Brothers. The group includes tea cups, a cream jug, a sauce boat with stand, and two covered vegetable tureens. These pieces are finished with a solid light blue glaze to the exteriors and contrasting white interiors. Also included are multiple saucers and plates decorated with a grey-toned floral transfer-print design of lilies on a white or cream ground. The tureens feature white bodies with solid blue lids and integrated handles. The base of the tureen bears a green printed backstamp featuring a crown symbol, above the word Snowwhite and the characters D . 1, with the manufacturer name JOHNSON BROS and the origin MADE IN ENGLAND below. The Snowwhite designation identifies the specific ironstone body type developed by the manufacturer.
