Three Japanese Imari porcelain plates dating from the late 19th century Edo or early Meiji period. The trio consists of two larger plates and one smaller plate, all featuring characteristic scalloped rims. The two larger plates are decorated in a traditional palette of underglaze blue, iron-red, and orange enamels with gilt highlights. The central medallion of each depicts a floral arrangement of prunus and pomegranate, enclosed by a border of alternating panels containing seigaiha wave patterns and floral motifs. The smaller plate features a radiating six-panel design, with three panels illustrating stylized iron-red goldfish (ranchu) and three panels showing flowering prunus branches. The reverse of the larger plates is decorated with four underglaze blue floral sprays to the rim and two concentric blue circles around the foot rim. The smaller plate displays three underglaze blue scrolling foliage sprays and a single concentric blue circle. There are no maker’s marks or signatures present; however, the undersides bear underglaze blue decorative marks as described.
