A trio of vintage travel trunks and suitcases, primarily of early to mid-20th-century British origin. The group features a large canvas-covered steamer trunk, constructed with a brown textured canvas body reinforced by bentwood protective laths, secured with brass-toned metal studs and dark brown leather corner reinforcements. This trunk displays a significant original paper shipping label from the London Midland and Scottish Railway, featuring the printed text LONDON MIDLAND AND SCOTTISH RAILWAY above bold lettering DELIVERED LUGGAGE, with a smaller red and white adhesive label reading 72 and L.M. & S. Rly. The second item is a hard-sided suitcase of heavyweight brown leather construction, featuring a stitched leather handle and brass flip-lock latches flanking a central keyhole lock. A blue and white adhesive sticker is present on the side of this case, showing a white P above characters in Hebrew script. The third item is a large utility trunk finished in black vulcanised fiber over a wooden frame, featuring silver-toned metal corner brackets and side latches.
