A pair of wingback armchairs in a traditional British domestic style. Each chair is constructed with a high, cushioned backrest featuring button-tufted detail for added support and texture. The frames are fully upholstered with generous scroll arms and overstuffed seat cushions. The upholstery is a heavy woven tapestry-style fabric featuring a repeating foliate and floral pattern with rose-like blooms, rendered in a palette of terracotta, brown, and muted green against a beige ground. The chairs are supported by carved wooden cabriole-style front feet, consistent with a Queen Anne influence.
