A vintage safety stand rocking horse, also known as a glider horse, of mid-20th-century British design. The horse features a composite or fibreglass body with a smooth, painted finish in a dappled grey aesthetic, mounted onto a dark-stained wooden safety stand via twin metal swing irons and cast-metal brackets. The piece is equipped with a natural hair mane and tail, fabric-covered saddle with metal stud detailing, and a leather-style harness and bridle featuring metal stirrups. The head is detailed with glass or plastic eyes and red-painted accents to the mouth and ears. The glider mechanism allows for a smooth swinging motion while the rectangular wooden base remains stationary.
