A mid-20th century blown art glass paperweight, fashioned with a spherical body and a clear glass button handle to the top. The piece features a deep cobalt blue core encased within clear glass. The interior is decorated with trailed yellow and pale green-gold frit, creating a radiating spatter or fireworks effect from the centre. The base is ground and polished to a smooth, slightly concave finish. There are two small dark internal inclusions visible within the glass at the base, which are characteristic of the hand-blown manufacturing process. No maker’s marks or signatures are legible on the piece.
