A vintage Parker 45 fountain pen featuring a black resin barrel and cap with gold-plated trim. The pen is fitted with a hooded, semi-recessed nib. Viewed through a loupe, the nib bears a printed mark showing a letter P inside a circle, above the characters 14K and U.S.A, identifying it as a 14 carat gold nib manufactured in the United States. The cap is finished with the traditional Parker arrow-head clip and a polished gold-toned band. This band is incised with the word PARKER in capital letters. The barrel terminates in a gold-plated tassie and unscrews to reveal the internal section, which typically accommodates a cartridge or converter filling system. The resin body and cap exhibit a polished black finish throughout.
