An 18 carat yellow gold three stone ring featuring a central round brilliant-cut diamond flanked by two round faceted blue sapphires. The gemstones are star-set into a tapered, boat-shaped head, a design characteristic of the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. The interior of the polished yellow gold shank is struck with a full set of British hallmarks including the maker’s mark S & Co, a crown gold standard mark, the fineness mark 750, a leopard’s head for the London Assay Office, and a date letter p. The ring is presented in a period-style fitted case with a navy textured exterior and a teal and cream fabric-lined interior.
