A set of porcelain demitasse cups and matching saucers, featuring an iridescent lusterware finish. Each of the small-scale cups is of footed form with an ornate gilded C-scroll handle and a flared rim. The exterior of the cups and the borders of the saucers are decorated with transfer-printed floral sprays of pink and yellow roses amongst green foliage. The saucers feature scalloped rims and are further embellished with a gold-tone foliate filigree pattern. The interiors of the cups and the upper surfaces of the saucers possess a pearlescent, iridescent glaze. Gilded accents are applied to the rims, handles, and foot rings. The undersides of the cups and saucers are plain white and appear to be without any maker’s marks, factory stamps, or country-of-origin marks.
