A collection of vintage brass horse brasses and equestrian hardware, featuring a diverse range of regional and traditional motifs. The group includes several brasses mounted on stitched black leather straps, including a notable examples such as a horseshoe-shaped brass reading ‘BODMIN MOOR’ with a central horse’s head, a laurel wreath design reading ‘CORNISH TIN MINER’ featuring a central figure, and a circular brass with an enamelled ceramic insert depicting ‘Conway Castle’. Other identifiable designs include a shield with a bunch of grapes and the word ‘ONE’, a ‘CHEVIOT’ marked brass, and various decorative forms including a crab, a fish, a crescent moon, and a pug dog. The lot also contains two metal horse bits, one a jointed loose ring snaffle bit and a smaller jointed bit of similar construction. Also present is a small perforated metal spoon or ladle with a circular bowl.
