A collection of vintage Wade Whimsies porcelain animal figurines, typically issued as promotional items. The assortment features a diverse range of subjects including wild animals, domestic pets, and various bird species. Each miniature is slip-cast in porcelain and finished with characteristic high-gloss monochrome or two-tone glazes in shades of tawny brown, grey, blue, and white. The group includes a seated lion, an elephant, a tiger on a plinth, a walrus, and a seated cat. Avian figures comprise a pelican, an owl, a bird of prey, a swimming duck, and a bird in flight. Several canine figures are present in varying poses and colours. While the bases are not visible in the photographs, these pieces are consistent with the Wade Whimsies series manufactured in England.
