Lot 787: Two Mid-Century Hand-Painted Wooden Tripod Stools
Not sold
Two mid-century hand-painted wooden tripod stools, each featuring a distinct decorative finish. The first stool, a tripod side stool, is constructed with a solid circular wooden top supported by three square-tapered legs. The surface is decorated with hand-painted multi-tonal stripes in shades of blue, white, and pale pink, while the legs are finished in a solid light teal paint. The second stool, a cutler’s stool, features a solid circular wooden top on three turned, rounded legs. It is finished in a medium blue paint with a distressed cloud-like aesthetic where the underlying wood grain is visible. This stool bears an incised/carved inscription on the seat reading ‘:Looe’, likely referencing the Cornish coastal town. The lot includes a white adhesive auction lot label printed with ‘Lot 787’ and the web address ‘www.hcpauctions.net’.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
