A pair of red leather swivel armchairs in the traditional Chesterfield style. Each chair is upholstered in deep oxblood red leather, featuring a deeply padded and button-tufted backrest with a curved top rail. The seats are finished with smooth surfaces and rounded front edges, displaying a significant patina and natural creasing from use. Decorative brass-tone nailhead trim follows the contours of the scroll-carved wooden arm supports and the backrests. The chairs are constructed with stained hardwood frames, likely beech with a mahogany-coloured finish. Both units are mounted on five-point wooden-clad star bases, each equipped with twin-wheel metal casters and a metal swivel and tilt mechanism. One chair bears a small white adhesive inventory label to the arm reading ‘916’.
