Lot 917: A King Size Ivory Metal and Slatted Wood Bedstead
A king size ivory metal bedstead in the Victorian fashion, currently disassembled for transport. The frame is constructed from tubular steel with a cream or ivory-coloured painted finish, featuring an arched headboard and footboard. Both ends are decorated with cast metal joints featuring shell motifs and are topped with spherical finials. The bed incorporates an integrated slatted base consisting of two sections. Each section contains thirteen curved, laminated light-wood slats held in place by plastic end caps within white metal side rails. A vertical white adhesive label is present on one of the central wooden slats, bearing a blue rectangular logo and printed text; however, the characters are not sufficiently legible to identify a specific manufacturer.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
