A Georgian oak slant-front bureau of traditional English construction. The piece features a sloping fall-front opening to reveal a storage well and fitted interior, supported by two retractable pull-out lopers. The case is configured with two short drawers over three long, graduated drawers, all retaining their original brass swan-neck handles and decorative escutcheons. The oak exhibits prominent medullary rays and a rich natural grain, particularly visible across the fall-front. The bureau is raised on classic bracket feet. A brass lock plate is fitted to the edge of the fall-front, though no maker’s name is discernible on the hardware or internal surfaces. The internal boards are constructed from solid timber with traditional tongue-and-groove joinery visible in the base of the well.

Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
