Lot 111: A Large Painted Wooden Hexagonal Multi-Compartment Dovecote
A large wooden dovecote of hexagonal form, designed as a multi-story nesting box for garden use. The structure features a six-sided body constructed from timber planks and painted in a blue-grey finish. It is configured with three visible levels of nesting compartments, each featuring an arched entry hole and an associated triangular wooden landing perch. The dovecote is capped with a steeply pitched, six-sided roof finished with grey mineral-surfaced roofing felt for weather protection. The entire assembly is mounted upon a heavy, weathered timber base. No maker’s marks, signatures, or manufacturer labels are visible on the structure.
