Lot 306: Two Brass and Copper Garden Bird Feeders
Two garden bird feeders of varying forms, constructed from a combination of brass and copper. The first feeder is a lantern-style design with a square pyramidal copper roof topped with a brass hanging ring and ball finials. The frame features two cast or embossed brass friezes decorated with a repeating scrolled S and diamond motif, supported by four tapering brass struts. The base tray is a square copper pan with a raised central brass section. The second feeder is a circular dome-style design, featuring a stepped copper dome supported by six wavy brass wire struts. These connect to a circular copper base tray with a raised central cone. Both pieces exhibit a weathered appearance with surface oxidation and patina consistent with outdoor use.
