Lot 737: Edwardian Sheraton Revival Inlaid Mahogany Dressing Table
An Edwardian mahogany dressing table in the Sheraton Revival style, featuring a large, shaped swing mirror mounted on a superstructure with two small jewel drawers. The serpentine-fronted base is configured with a central drawer flanked by two short drawers, positioned above two deeper drawers. The piece is constructed with flame mahogany veneers and decorated with boxwood inlaid stringing throughout. It is fitted with brass ring-pull hardware and stands on four square tapered legs terminating in brass castors. The drawers feature dovetail construction. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible.
Condition report:
The piece is in generally fair condition with visible surface wear consistent with age and use. There are notable scratches and areas of finish loss to the top surface. The drawers show internal signs of use and have been fitted with aftermarket floral paper linings.
