Lot 925: An Assortment of Framed Artworks and Picture Frames
A collection of framed artworks and various picture frames. The lot includes two circular paintings or prints depicting pairs of game birds in naturalistic settings, presented in square silver-toned frames with dark mounts. Also included is a painting on a natural leaf depicting a landscape with a house and blossoming trees, set in a gilt-edged frame. A notable item is a framed copper-toned heraldic plaque titled Certificate of Provenance: Arms and Origin of Chapman, produced by Macaulay Mann Heraldry of Croydon, Surrey, England, dated 1988. The collection further comprises multiple empty and occupied picture frames in various styles, including ornate silver-toned moulded frames, simple gilt-edged frames, natural wood frames, and modern white frames with faceted corners. One wooden frame features a burnt-in inscription reading To Norma. Some frames contain standard retail inserts for 6 inch by 4 inch photographs. The items are in varied, used condition. One wooden frame has a visibly broken glass pane. Surface wear, dust, and minor scuffs are present across the collection consistent with age and storage in a bulk lot.
