Lot 980: S. K, Three Framed Items including a Signed Print, a Mixed Media Textile, and a Wall Mirror (Signed)
A trio of framed items comprising a contemporary mixed-media textile artwork, a wall mirror, and a decorative print. The textile piece is an abstract composition of layered fabrics, metallic threads, and beadwork with protruding purple quill-like elements, mounted on a textured pink ground with a lavender-coloured mount and black frame. The wall mirror is rectangular with a stepped wooden frame. The print on paper depicts a woman in a white Edwardian-style gown with a dog, after the painting The Mirror by Robert Reid. This print bears a signature in the lower right corner S. K and is dated 93. It is housed in a wooden frame with a white mount. Small pink circular stickers marked 32 are present on the frames.
Condition report:
Visible surface dust and accretion are present on all items, with significant accumulation on the mirror glass. The mount of the print shows minor foxing and spotting. The frames show light wear and scuffing consistent with age and handling.
