Lot 989: A Collection of Michael Jackson Memorabilia, Textiles, and Household Goods
This lot comprises a variety of entertainment ephemera and domestic textiles. The collection includes a 16-page commemorative tribute supplement published by The Sun newspaper in 2009 following the death of Michael Jackson, featuring a cover image of the artist’s white sequined glove and the text Michael Jackson August 29 1958 – June 25 2009. Also included is an official 1990 Michael Jackson calendar featuring photography from the Bad world tour era, marked Copyright Approved. The textile component consists of a bright orange synthetic fleece blanket with a wide satin-effect binding edge, a cream-coloured wool blanket with woven green and blue stripes, and an assortment of folded cream blankets of varying weights. A light blue shaggy pile rug or mat decorated with a floral motif of white daisies and pink blossoms is present.
