Lot 1003: A collection of five miscellaneous decorative wall mirrors
A collection of five decorative wall mirrors of various styles and sizes, predominantly dating from the late 20th century. The group includes a large rectangular mirror with an ornate gilt-finished frame featuring embossed scrolling foliate and shell motifs. An octagonal mirror is included, featuring a wide frame decorated with a printed floral chintz-style pattern in shades of pink, green, and blue, bordered by narrow gold-toned inner and outer slips. The collection also contains a rectangular mirror with a broad frame featuring a dark navy blue ground decorated with large-scale, multicoloured floral and foliage motifs, finished with a gold-toned inner slip. Additionally, there is a rectangular mirror with a broad, plain light oak frame and a bevelled mirror plate, and a rectangular mirror with a narrow, simple light-wood frame.
Height of gilt-framed mirror approximately 95cm.
Condition report:
Mirror plates across the collection appear to be in generally good condition with no significant foxing, silvering loss, or scratches visible. Frames show light surface wear and minor abrasions consistent with age and use.
