Lot 1020: Oliver Ommanney and Another, Two Framed Works comprising a Signed Limited Edition Print and a Railway Watercolour
This lot comprises two framed works. The first is a watercolour with gouache highlights on paper depicting a steam locomotive numbered 42606 on tracks. The work is inscribed to the lower right G.W.R. MERSEYSIDE TO LONDON and shows a detailed study of the engine with billowing clouds of steam and smoke. It is housed in a cream mount and a simple dark wood frame. The second work is a limited edition colour print on paper titled Colmers Hill, depicting a Dorset landscape in a realist style. The print is pencil-signed by the artist Oliver Ommanney to the lower right and numbered 183/450. It is set within an olive green mount and a wood frame with a gold-tone edge.
Condition report:
Both works appear to be in good condition. There are no significant signs of fading, foxing, toning, or water damage visible to the paper. The mounts and frames show minor wear consistent with age and handling. An auction lot tag is adhered to the mount of the railway painting.
