Lot 321: A Collection of Ceramics, Glassware, and Household Sundries including Vinci and Oriental Style Wares
A diverse collection of ceramic, glass, and metal household items. The ceramic selection includes a miniature porcelain tea set comprising a teapot and cream jug, hand-painted with figural scenes in an orange, red, and gilt palette in the Japanese style. Also included is a group of miniature porcelain items featuring a flared cup, small jug, and pedestal vase, each decorated with transfer-printed monochrome winter landscapes; the jug bears an illegible circular gold mark to the base. A white porcelain egg cup is present, marked Vinci Fine Porcelain in red and grey. The tableware includes a stack of plates, notably one featuring a pink floral blossom tree pattern with a Greek-key style border, and others with coloured rims in shades of purple and green, resembling contemporary styles such as Fiestaware. Further ceramic items include several small white spirit cups and a porcelain oil lamp base with pink floral transfers.
The lot also contains a clear cut-glass vase or candlestick holder of tapering form on a hexagonal base. Metalware consists of a stainless steel cream jug and sugar bowl on a matching tray, and a black-painted wrought iron scroll-work bracket. Miscellaneous items include a pair of orange-handled scissors, a kitchen knife, a laser-cut wooden model piece incised D29, and a green St John Ambulance first aid kit bag. The lot is housed in a cardboard box with a plastic tray.
