Lot 482: A Collection of Poole Pottery Compact Range Oven-To-Tableware in Chestnut and Parkstone Patterns
This collection of Poole Pottery oven-to-tableware belongs to the Compact range designed by Robert Jefferson. The assortment features pieces in two distinct glazes: Chestnut, a solid dark brown, and Parkstone, a speckled cream oatmeal finish. The design is characterised by functional shapes with moulded ribbed or fluted detailing to the rims and bodies. Included in the group are plates, saucers, tea and coffee cups, two gravy boats in the contrasting glazes, a matching underplate, and a lidded preserve pot. The pieces carry the Poole Pottery factory mark featuring a dolphin and the words POOLE ENGLAND. Certain items are also marked oven to tableware and microwave and freezer safe.
