Lot 276: An Assortment of Vintage Ceramics inc Denby "Homestead Brown" Soup Bowls, Kitchenware, and Board Games including Waddington's Titles
A varied lot of vintage domestic items and games. The ceramic collection includes a large octagonal-form earthenware footed washbasin or bowl decorated with blue transfer-printed floral sprays and a central landscape scene. There is a set of six small, round, brown-glazed earthenware bowls with twin lug handles and matching lids, featuring pale blue/grey glazed interiors. Utensil storage comprises a cylindrical dark green glazed ceramic jar with gilt lettering for UTENSILS and a beige earthenware jar with a black transfer-printed KITCHEN UTENSILS graphic. Also included is a small cylindrical stoneware PORK DRIPPING pot with a transfer-printed pig illustration. The lot features a ceramic teapot with polychrome floral decoration and an overhead cane handle, alongside a collection of unglazed and partially glazed terracotta items including a pig-shaped herb vessel and various small pots. Further items include a white ceramic mortar and pestle, a large oval earthenware serving platter with floral borders, a shallow cream-glazed bowl, and a small fruit-decorated pin dish. Metalware consists of a circular silver-plated tray with an embossed central well featuring foliate and scroll motifs and a gadrooned rim.
