Lot 390: An assortment of vintage ceramics and glassware including H & K Tunstall and Chinese Mun Shou porcelain
This collection comprises a variety of vintage earthenware, porcelain, and glassware. Included is an Art Deco style earthenware pitcher featuring stylized cloud and floral motifs in yellow, orange, and blue on a pale mint-green ground with a high-arched dark-glazed handle. A square-form lidded earthenware tureen is decorated with hand-painted floral sprays in shades of orange, red, and blue, finished with green pinstripe detailing and an octagonal finial. Several pieces of Hollinshead and Kirkham (H & K Tunstall) ware are present, including a teacup, saucer, and lidded sugar bowl, all featuring an Art Deco geometric border pattern in blue, red, and yellow. The base of the cup bears a green crown backstamp for H & K Tunstall, Made in England. The lot also contains a Chinese Mun Shou porcelain longevity bowl with a turquoise ground, red character medallions, and colourful enameled floral scrolls, marked with Jingdezhen and Made in China stamps to the base. Glassware consists of a group of hock glasses featuring clear bowls on multi-ringed stems in green and amber, a green pressed glass flower frog, and multiple clear glass serving dishes, including one with a moulded leaf design. Additional items include a shallow white bowl with blue floral swags, a rectangular porcelain vessel decorated with a cat illustration, and a multi-tiered terracotta clay object.
