Lot 833: A Mid-20th-century Tudor Revival Style Oak Glazed Corner Display Cabinet
This mid-20th-century corner display cabinet is designed in the Tudor Revival style, commonly associated with manufacturers such as Wood Bros (Old Charm). The cabinet is of one-piece construction, made from oak with a dark-stained finish that highlights the prominent wood grain. The upper section features a single door with leaded glass panes in a traditional diamond lattice pattern. The interior of the display area is fitted with a mirrored back and contains adjustable glass shelves. An internal electrical light fitting is mounted at the top of the interior. The cabinet is hung on brass-effect butterfly-style surface hinges. The base of the unit contains four small drawers, each fitted with a circular metal knob handle. No maker’s marks are visible, though a lot tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms is present.
