Lot 244: An Assortment of Garden Planters and Containers featuring a Large Decorated Ceramic Jardiniere
This lot comprises an assortment of garden planters and containers in various materials and styles. The principal item is a large, rounded ceramic jardiniere with a wide, flat, overhanging rim. It features a cream-white glaze with an all-over fine crackle texture, decorated with hand-painted Oriental-style motifs of a brown bamboo stalk and green foliage. Included in the collection is a weathered reconstituted stone urn with a fluted, shell-like exterior design; a light blue glazed ceramic pot with a label reading Pottery Ware Blue Snowy Gloss Pot; a single terracotta planter; and several large black plastic nursery containers, one of which bears a Dahlia label. The primary ceramic planter is marked with a white inventory sticker numbered 244 and currently contains a dormant woody shrub.
