Lot 245: A Cast Iron Parasol Base
A circular cast iron parasol base featuring a weighted foot with a moulded basket-weave or lattice pattern. The central upright cylindrical tube is designed to receive an umbrella pole and is fitted with a metal thumb screw to secure it in place. The entire piece has a black painted finish. Temporary auction labels are attached to the central tube. No permanent manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the object.
