Lot 644: A Decorative Natural Root-wood and Spiral Vine Walking Staff with Polished Blue Stone Handle
A handcrafted walking staff or cane featuring a large, egg-shaped polished blue stone handle, possibly amazonite or a dyed composite material, set into a gnarled root-wood head. The shaft is constructed from natural wood showing a distinct spiral twist characteristic of growth shaped by a climbing vine. A small, polished section of antler or horn is inset into the upper portion of the shaft. The stick is fitted with a black cord lanyard attached via a metal lobster-claw clip and is finished with a dark ferrule at the base. A white adhesive auction lot tag marked 644 is attached to the shaft. No maker marks or signatures are visible.
