Lot 530: A Pair of UK 1929 Shilling KM-833 and FR 1918 2 Francs KM-845.1 Silver Brooches
This lot consists of two silver coins converted into jewellery items. The first is a United Kingdom 1929 One Shilling (KM-833) featuring the George V obverse and the crowned lion reverse. The coin is mounted in a circular silver-toned frame embellished with twelve spherical accents. The second item is a French 1918 2 Francs (KM-845.1) featuring the Sower design by Oscar Roty on the obverse and the national motto on the reverse. It is secured in a horizontal scrollwork frame with floral terminals. Both pieces have pin-back fasteners permanently soldered to the reverse of the coins. The UK shilling is composed of .500 silver, and the French 2 Francs is composed of .835 silver.
