Lot 567: A Collection of Liskeard Style and Studio Art Glass Vases
A collection of mid-century studio glass vases, including several examples in the style of Liskeard Glass. The lot features a trio of bud vases, each designed with a tall, slender clear glass chimney top and a weighted base utilizing the bullicante controlled bubble technique. These bases are coloured in ruby red, sapphire blue, and olive amber. Also included is a pair of emerald green trumpet-form vases with wide flared rims, set upon clear glass bullicante bases. The collection is further comprised of a larger amethyst glass vase of baluster form featuring opaque white internal swirls, and a smaller purple glass vase. One piece retains a printed paper auction lot tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms for Lot 567, and another bears a hand-written tag reading 111 64. No permanent maker’s marks or signatures were observed during inspection.
